Get back up and ready for 2022!

The pandemic has affected us all in so many ways.

Some, experienced emotional issues for the first time whilst for others, the situation has deepened their ongoing struggle. It is good that we can now see light at the end of the tunnel, but the months ahead might still be a little bumpy and uncertain. We know many are still struggling with their mental wellbeing and will need extra or different types of support to get back on track with the social, physical, and emotional impacts of what we have all experienced. For this reason, 
Trust Links have put together a fantastic, free Mind & Body training programme that all are welcome to attend. This initial program runs morning and evening classes every Monday and Friday during November and December 2021 in preparation for a fresh start to our lives as we grow towards 2022. 
The programme is about getting back up and ready for the coming year, and will not only exercise and educate your minds, but also exercise and regenerate your bodies. The mind elements are fun and entertaining to engage with, and the body elements are light and easy so everyone can take part.

Understanding Stress & Anxiety and Coping with Change:

This module takes you on a journey towards understanding the neurochemical process of stress and explores the function of our sympathetic and parasymathetic nervous systems.  It also provides an understanding of how stress and amxiety are integral to our survival mechanism and thorugh this great understanding it empowers us to take control of and mange the negative effects of stress and anxiety.   

Labyrinth Meditative Training:

This module will show how to create and use a Labyrinth.  Labyrinths are currently being used world-wide as a way to quiet the mind, recover a balance in life, and encourage meditation, insight, self-reflection, stress reduction. The practice of labyrinth walking integrates the body with the mind and the mind with the spirit. Labyrinths can be found in medical centers, parks, churches, schools, prisons, memorial parks, spas, cathedrals and retreat centers as well as in people's backyards and living spaces.

Self Awareness & Mental/Emotional Management:

This module is an exploration of the 'self' and the process of change that takes place as we journey through life.  It discusses the philosophy of René Descartes, Issac Newton, Albert Einstein and many more who have contributed to an examination of 'who we are' and 'why'.  It is a considerate, safe and enjoyable approach to gently looking at what makes us all tick.

Yoga Meditation & Relaxation:

In this module we learn to focus on our bodies and feelings. Through this focus we learn to release the thoughts and quiet the mind. To be present in the moment. In this moment of deep meditation we can learn to be at peace, no matter what is happening in our life.
